Sakurajima
Sakurajima, the symbol of Kagoshima, is the nature's greatest masterpiece. Its majestic presence floating in the morning mist or glowing in the sunset changes every moment and captivates all who see it.
Senganen
A world-renowned garden designated as a World Cultural Heritage site, loved by the prestigious Shimadzu family. The breathtaking "borrowed scenery" uses the vast Kinko Bay as a pond and the grand Sakurajima as a background hill.
Shiroyama Park
A scenic spot 107 meters above sea level offering a panoramic view of Sakurajima and Kinko Bay. From this "front-row seat," you can also enjoy the sparkling city lights at night.
Statue of Saigo Takamori
One of Japan’s largest statues depicting the dignified figure of the Great Hero of the Restoration, Saigo Takamori. He remains as a beloved symbol of Kagoshima to this day.
Statue of Toshimichi Okubo
